This is my second month of goal setting and I have to say the first month didn’t quite go as intended. Lets have a quick look and see how I got on before I set next next lot (read the full post here)…
- To enjoy my home more – Better, but could still do more
- To live within my means – NOPE!
- Spend more time with friends – Yes, although this is hard when they live far away/ are busy
- To create a content schedule and stick to it! Yes for Blog, getting there for Social Media and no for Vlog!
- To overhaul my diet and to move more – Yes (although could move more!)
Right, onto the next months goals.
To post twice a week
This shouldn’t be too tricky, I’ve kind of already started it. The main reason I want to do this is because I’m starting to get more and more idea’s for what to write as my creativity builds and I don’t want to lose the momentum or write loads of posts which won’t be seen by you lovely lot for ages!
It’s true what they that the more you create the more creative you feel and that’s definitely me at the moment. So watch this space for more content as I let my mind go crazy with ideas! Also, don’t forget to give me ideas of what you would like to see and feedback or comments. I love hearing what you have to say.
This is something I have been thinking about for a long time. I really enjoy baking but it’s something I never make time for. I also have not only a new Weight Watchers Recipe book but a new oven to bake in so now is the perfect time to get started. It would be great if I have some tried and tested recipes ready for the Autumn when the baking season really kicks in and we all start to cosy down with hot drinks and a tasty treat.
Keep the house clean!
This has been a challenge in this heat to be honest. When you’re sweating out of your eyeballs the last thing you want to do is push the hoover around the house. Problem with that though is the house then ends up looking like a tornado has passed through and it didn’t hold back! I live with someone who isn’t naturally organised or tidy, and although he tries his best, I have high standards.
My plan is to just do a bit each night after work, that way it won’t feel so arduous hopefully. Even just 30 mins of putting things back where they belong and loading the dishwasher makes all the difference. This is probably going to be the hardest goal out of all of them, but I’ll give it my best shot!
I have this habit at the moment of coming home from work and not leaving the house until I have to go to work again. Probably because I am on here writing a lot at the moment. But that doesn’t mean I couldn’t sacrifice 30 minutes to go and see a bit of the outside world. Maybe get some fresh air. I am therefore going to aim to do three half hour walks during the week to make sure I am not missing any of this fab summer we are having this year. I know we all moan about it being hot but it’ll be winter before we know it again and then we will all be complaining about how cold it is. Especially me, i’m sure I was a reptile in a past life!
Organise the Spare Room
I still haven’t really sorted out all the stuff left over from the wedding. Instead, it’s just piled up in the spare room which I have shut the door on and forgotten about. I also want to up-cycle the wardrobe in there. At the moment if we want to have people to stay, they have to sleep on the lounge floor. This is ridiculous when there is a perfectly functional bed upstairs! I also have a tonne of stuff around the house which really could do with being put away in this room. It’s about time I cracked on with this.
So here we go, month two of goal setting. Lets see if I can do any better this time!
