July Goals

Beautiful Sunshine for July

Oh. Em.Gee!

Where on earth did those 6 months go???? Can you really believe we have done half the year? I certainly can’t.

Goals Goals Goals!

As you can probably tell this has been a bit of a shock to me. I was happily bumbling along thinking we had just had Christmas and now look where we are. This led me to have a little think about the fact that I need to be a bit more focussed on my goals and how I achieve them. I love reading other peoples monthly goals and I think this is a great way to make things feel more achievable. So I’m giving it a go and here are mine for July:

Beautiful Sunshine for July

To enjoy my home more

You may have read my recent post about how I have been trying to spend less frivolously. I love my house but I think it could be more of a home and it wouldn’t do any harm to spend more time in it. I would like to spend July giving it a bit of TLC, which wouldn’t be difficult or expensive, and then I feel I would be more inclined to spend time in it and also invite friends and family over more.

To live within my means

Can you spot the theme yet?? Again, as I discussed in my previous post, I need to spend less money. I think this is probably easier during the summer because it doesn’t cost money to spend time outside enjoying the sunshine. We are now the proud owners of an amazing Barbecue thanks to Wedding money donations (and a John Lewis sale) which in turn makes me want to spend more time in the garden making it pretty and working on the veg patch. I think this will be an ongoing project for me which I will break down in my monthly goals.

To spend more time with friends

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a complete hobo, but I still think this is something I could improve on. It is tricky to be fair because most of my friends don’t live around the corner. But with the wonders of modern technology I can chat with friends without being in the same room as them – exciting times!

To create a content schedule and stick to it!

Life seems to have gotten in the way of me doing what I love recently and as a result I have found my creativity dwindling. Then I start getting cross with myself which just makes me even less likely to write or record videos. I need to prioritise what I enjoy doing more if for no other reason then to save my sanity and make sure I actually have some me time. By having a realistic schedule this will help me to give my hobby the time it deserves.

To overhaul my diet and To move more

I have technically already started this one but I think it is important to state it here so that I stick to it! I have a video here which tells you what I have done to get more fit and healthy. One thing I haven’t done in the video is say why I want to do this. Recently I had a massive shopping spree in Primark. It was an absolute blast and enjoyed having a really girly day but there was one small thing I wasn’t proud of. The number on the clothes I had to pick up. I haven’t had to buy anything in that size for over 10 years and it was a MASSIVE wake up call. I have worked so hard in the past to lose weight and now I’m right back where I started all those years ago. There are no words to describe just how rubbish this made me feel. TIME TO CHANGE.

So there we have it.

Wish me luck!
