Hello world!

Wow here we are, my very first post. Believe it or not it has taken me six months to get to this day. Back in the summer of 2016 I decided to build my own website and now we’re finally here!

As it’s a new year, I thought it would be good to review the last twelve months, concentrating on the six months leading up to this first post.

Being someone who is obsessed with Christmas, January can begin with a massive come-down for me. I am soon distracted from this because I have several family birthdays this month. This gives the family as a whole a chance to spend even more time together and last January was no different.

February was an exciting month – We moved into our lovely house in the heart of Hampshire. Having lived by the coast for 5 years and being a Londoner at heart, I was so excited to move into the countryside and before long it was summer and I finally managed to achieve some of my bucket list items including wild swimming which I had been longing to do for longer than I can remember.

So before we knew it we were coming to the end of the summer and autumn was creeping in. Autumn is without a doubt my favourite time of year. Watching the leaves turn from green, gold, yellow and red amazes me every year. We spent the latter end of the season in Munich for four days, travelling to the Fairytale castle, Neuschwanstein, near the town of F├╝ssen in the south of Germany. Here we were lucky enough to see this stunning architecture in the snow – a dream come true!

Then again in the blink of an eye it was December and I was preparing for Christmas. As usual it was chaotic fun and then Big Ben was chiming in the New Year.

Overall the past year has been full of fun and adventures, I cannot wait to see what 2017 has to offer!

How did your 2016 look? Please feel free to share your stories in the comments below. I look forward to hearing from you.
