My Goals for 2018

One Month In…

So we’re almost amonth into 2018 and I think I now have a fair idea about what my plans and goals are for the next 11 months. I am sharing them with you all because I think it will help me stay focussed when times get tough and I just want to give it all up!

Currently I post once a week on this blog. My goal for this year is to up this to at least twice a week (I would like to do three times a week, but I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself!). The key to this will be to find a good routine and stay organised, and we all know how much I love to be organised! I am going to be employing a content calendar to do this, I’ll let you know how I get on.

I also want to go back and revive some of my old posts, mainly to bring them up to the standard of my more current ones and to streamline the website a bit – let me know what you think!

In case you didn’t already know, I have now taken up vlogging. You can check out my channel here. This is more of a video diary than formal videos right now, and I have been filming my whole week. Now I am going to be spending more time on the website, my goal is to create weekend vlog videos. This is mainly where most of the content has been coming from anyway so I don’t think this will have a negative impact, but it will give me more time to edit, refine etc.

As you all know now I am on a never ending battle with my waistline! This year my goal is to finally get on top of this and drop a couple of dress sizes. I would like to do this before I get married in May, but in order not to put too much pressure on myself, I am going to aim for one dress size before and one after. I have been feeling the effects of being over weight not only on my physical health but also my mental health. This has got to change and so I will be using this as my motivation when I want to eat a whole tub of ice cream!

Last year I didn’t spend as much time on my other creations as I would have liked. If you have read my previous post you will know how much this means to me and my wellbeing. My goal is to finish crocheting my blanket – a big ask as I have been making the damn thing for almost 3 years! I am also setting myself the goals of using up all the wool I have purchased before I buy any more. This is another tricky one because there is a cute little haberdashery just around the corner from me and I love popping in there for a look (and a buy!).

So those are my goals for 2018, what are yours? Let me know in the comments below.
