Random Facts About Me

Welcome to Crunchy Leaves and Sunsets

So here we are on a little bonus post this week, I am going to answer some questions! Thanks to Jo at A Rose Tinted World for tagging me so I can join in the fun! It’s great getting to know about fellow bloggers in more unusual ways!
Random Facts About Me

Random Facts about me

When was the last time you cried?

Sunday, I was tired and not feeling well both mentally and physically. Sometimes it’s better to just release all the tension through a good cry!

If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

I hope so, although I think I might get annoyed with myself for being flakey sometimes. I am working on this but sometimes I just wanted to cancel all my plans and stay at home in my joggers!

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Not as much as I used to, but that’s mainly because I am married to a man who is the epitome of sarcasm!

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Hmm, that’s a good one. I would have to say eyes. I love studying the colours in peoples eyes.

Scary movie or happy endings?

Happy ending! I am a massive wuss and will get nightmares from scary films. I like a happy film that puts me in a positive mood. Especially love a black and white film as they make me feel so cosy.

Favourite smells?

Basil! I used to have a St Eval candle which had basil in and I would salivate every time I lit it! I also love my Yankee Candle burner, especially in autumn and winter when I can get the cinnamon smells out. Yum!

What’s the furthest you’ve ever been away from home?

Mauritius. This is quite an achievement for me as I am so scared of flying. I think the fact that I was flying in an airbus softened the blow though.

Do you have any special talents?

Not really! I have double jointed thumbs and I can lick my nose with my tongue!

Where were you born?

Croydon, in what was Mayday Hospital. I think it’s now called Croydon University Trust or something. I’m sure it’s still not very glamorous!

What are your hobbies?

Blogging obviously! I also love crochet but rarely find the time to do it. Generally anything crafty, I love making something out of nothing with my hands.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I was always flicking between being a surgeon and a biology teacher. I haven’t strayed that far from this but I am neither!

How many countries have you been to?

Only a few because of the previously mentioned fear of flying. Let’s see, America, Mauritius, Dubai, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece.

What was your favourite/ worst subject at school?

I bloody loved biology at school. I was fascinated by the human body and how it works. I’m not sure there was anything I really disliked at school, probably Religious Studies, but that was because the teacher was boring!

What is your favourite drink?

This varies but at the moment I love a Pornstar martini. Makes me feel so glam having a drink in a champagne saucer and getting the shot of Prosecco. Plus it has pomegranates in which are definitely a luxury fruit!

What would you (or have you) named your kids?

That’s a secret (in case anyone steals them!).

Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?

I’ve actually just written a post about this, which you can read here.

How many boyfriends have you had?

Three. One dumped me when I was 17 and I married then other two. (Not at the same time!)

Favourite memory from childhood?

I have a few which mainly centre around fun times with family and friends. I have some lovely memories of spending Indian summers in the garden as a child. We had a huge garden growing up and I would roll down the lawn and the hazy heat whilst my family drank tea and ate freshly baked cake.

How would you describe your fashion sense?

I do pride myself on being able to dress for my shape. I am hourglass shaped, no matter how much I weigh. Fashion doesn’t always come into it as some styles don’t suit my shape. I think I would describe it as classic but fun.

Tell us one of your bad habits?

Putting too much pressure on myself. I have such high standards and then get cross at myself when I can’t achieve them. It’s silly because nobody else cares about these things, only me!

There you go, some little facts about me. I hope that was enlightening! Now it’s time for some other people to join in the fun. Lets hear from:

Natalie from Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Kami from Life With Kami
