So here we are, at the end of another year. 2018. What a year it has been. A serious rollercoaster of emotions. The good, the bad and the downright dreadful.
They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger – if that’s true I must be made of steel now!
The new year started off ok. My blog had it’s one year anniversary, and I was thinking about how I could take it to the next level. I hadn’t done much to progress it due to work commitments and other stresses. Plus I ended 2017 having had my second miscarriage. But I was feeling positive and determined. I started eating more healthily and of course – I had a wedding to plan! The 3 months of spring went by in a flash – before I knew it Spring had sprung and the final countdown to married life had started.
April –June 2018
Well the obvious big thing to happen during these months was that I got married. It was a wonderful day, dry and a bit overcast at times, but we had so much fun and I think all our guests did too. We were left with a mountain of leftover food which we spent the next couple of weeks trying to get through before it went off. Needless to say the healthy living went out the window!
But then things took a turn for the worse when I experienced my third and most recent miscarriage. I was particularly heartbroken by this one as we had been for an early scan which had shown a heartbeat. Two weeks later I was being referred to the ‘frequent Miscarriage clinic’. I won’t go into details now because I have done some blog posts on it which yo0u can find HERE.
The summer was a hot one to say the least! I don’t know about you guys but I was sweating in places I didn’t know I could! Lots of fun was had, wild swimming by the river and going camping by the sea. Life was good.
I also got back into a new routine with my blog and restarted my YouTube channel. The summer really gave me the inspiration I needed to get back into it and I think it also became therapeutic to write down how I was feeling. I think a lot of people who were reading it also related to it. Since the summer the blog has grown and grown and I am so happy with it. I also became involved in something called the Blog Buddy program, but I’ll talk about that in the next section!
The last few months have been hectic but fantastic! I have been heavily involved in the Blog Buddy Program, building a new community for bloggers. It’s so much fun to be involved in something like this. I have made some great friends and I have learnt so much. It has been thoroughly inspiring for me and I hope to take my learning into my own blog once I get the time!
