Dear Blog Buddy

This entry is part 1 of 4 in the series Dear Blog Buddy

Dear Blog Buddy is a weekly opportunity for me to reflect on what has happened in the past seven days and talk to my favourite blogger. For those of you who like the idea of writing a journal, I find it very mindful. I publish this post every week.

Time Flies, Buddy!

Wow this week has gone quickly. I had almost forgotten to check your blog for your letter!

I have to say that one of the main reasons I came up with this idea was to enable us both to share what is good about our lives. We should be proud of ourselves Buddy! It is so easy to work really hard to be the best possible human, only to forget to praise ourselves when we have achieved what we set out to.

I read a quote on Instagram the other day;

Remember when all you wanted is what you have now?!

It really made me think about how we do forget to think about how far we have come in our lives. I am so grateful to have such a lovely home, in a lovely town with my wonderful husband (Did I mention? He is walking 100km in July to raise money for Parkinson’s?). Only a few years ago I would never have dreamed about being so happy. Not forgetting my whole Zoo of animals!! I love every one of them.

Your self care journey has been really inspirational to me this week. I have been trying to lose some weight and practice and bit more self care recently. The only problem was it felt a bit lonely. I don’t know if that makes sense! I know every talks about it and how wonderful it is (myself included!) but recently I have not seen how it can truly benefit a person. Seeing how happy you have been this last week or too, even during quitting cigarettes! If you can do it, then I can too!

You’ve got to laugh at yourself

Another thing I have been trying to do is not take the little things so seriously. You said about your vlogs, well last weekend I filmed in public FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!! Previously I would have been so self conscious about what the strangers around me would think. But I have decided that it really doesn’t matter what they think. What matters is that I am happy. I love filming and I really love that people enjoy watching them. can’t wait to see your DITL and get to know you a bit more.

I’m finishing this post whilst watching your Vlog – I’m so pound of you for doing something new. It can be quite daunting to film something like this, so well done! Also, loving how organised your clothes are!!

Looking forward to seeing more vlogs from you buddy, what else have you been up to?
